Alison F. Triessl began her criminal defense practice at age 24 and has not looked back since. For the last 15 years, she has specialized in third strike, drug, murder and assault cases. She has earned the respect of her colleagues, clients and the southern California legal community for her excellent legal services and for the caring, personalized approach she takes to her clients.
Alison is affiliated with the Los Angeles Criminal Courts Bar Association, the largest criminal bar association in Los Angeles, and she served as its president in 2009. Alison was only the fourth woman to hold the title of Presidency in its 60-year history.
Alison earned her Juris Doctorate from New York Law School and her Bachelor's from Tulane University.
In addition to being one of the top attorneys in Los Angeles, Alison is the co-founder and CEO of the Pasadena Recovery Center, a 98-bed drug and alcohol treatment center which she co-founded in 2000 with her father, the renowned psychiatrist Dr. Lee Bloom. Pasadena Recovery Center's residential treatment program is the home of VH1's "Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew," which is currently entering its sixth season.
In 2006, Alison was honored as Woman of the Year for Los Angeles County and in the same year received a commendation for Outstanding Community Service from both the Lieutenant Governor and City Attorney.
In 2010, Alison turned her sights to social media and legal commentary. She has appeared on all three national morning shows: The Today Show, Good Morning America and the Early Show. Alison has appeared on all Los Angeles news stations including KTLA, NBC, CBS, ABC, FOX, and KCAL. She has also appeared on the Dr. Phil Show.
Alison is a regular commentator on CNN-HLN, having appeared on Nancy Grace, Dr. Drew and Jane Velez-Mitchell. She has also provided commentary to the nationally syndicated show Inside Edition. Alison was a primary legal commentator for the Conrad Murray trial for KTLA Channel 5, the number one local news station in Los Angeles. At present, Alison's legal commentary can be watched on a weekly basis on CBS' the Insider.
In 2012, Alison launched Wild About Trial. Wild About Trial was born out of Alison's love of criminal trials. Wild About Trial is a revolutionary new mobile application and website that provides trial lovers with breaking news, legal analysis and court information. Wild About Trial covers the most fascinating criminal trials taking place around the country. It is the first mobile application of its kind. In addition to her professional accomplishments, Alison is a devoted wife and mother of 3 boys.
